Toronto, Ontario - Lee Kirsty is designer specializing in bags for women, but her work is certainly not the typical blend-looking, mass manufactured, expensive bag that is available at a store near you. Anything but. Lee Kirsty coined the term ARM ART to describe her bags because they are more than just something to throw over your shoulder – they can express a personality. All her bags are handmade and can be customized in countless ways to fit any personality. "My bags are meant to be funny, eye catching and just down right silly but still provide today's women with function,” says Lee. “People should have fun with accessories and expect nothing less from Lee Kirsty Designs.”

What started is a simply hobby utilizing a $200 sewing machine and a bin of old jeans, soon expanded into a full-time, booming business. In May 2002, Lee Kirsty Designs was born. Now Lee Kirsty bags are sold in the US, Canada, as well as worldwide via the web. Since taking the risk and reinventing the handbag industry with her own label, she has been featured in publications such as ElleGirl, Oyster (UK), YM, Fashion 18, Moda Magazine, Fifth Avenue Magazine et cetera.

Her bags have even wandered into the hands of a number of celebrities at the Atlanta Recording Academy Hero awards, and women across the world have began collecting her bags, and trading with friends, something that is certainly encouraged through the “VIP Arm Art Club” on http://www.leekirsty.com.

Lee Kirsty continues moving full speed ahead, following her dreams.  “There are no limits for me now, it's up to me to fulfill my dreams and I am shooting for the stars and you should too,” says Lee, “Turn your dreams into goals, and start working towards a new passion.”
